What Happens Next?

After your appeal is submitted, the Brown County Arrest Registry moderation team will review the information you provided along with the circumstances surrounding the original moderation action.

An appeal may result in the original action being upheld, modified, reduced, or overturned.

We may contact you if additional information is required. Submitting multiple appeals regarding the same decision will not increase the likelihood of approval and may delay the review process.

Appeal Decisions

  • Approved: The original moderation action is reversed and the appropriate access or privileges will be restored.
  • Partially Approved: The original action remains valid, but the penalty may be reduced or modified.
  • Denied: The original moderation action remains in effect.
  • More Information Required: A decision cannot be made until additional information is provided.

The moderation team's decision following an appeal is generally considered final. Additional appeals concerning the same incident may not be reviewed unless significant new information becomes available.
